Q A With Annah

Q1. 6 months at Avatar! How does it feel?

The 6 months have flown by! It’s a great feeling knowing that you’re still waking up each day and driving to work to a job you enjoy doing.

Q2. What has been your biggest highlight at Avatar?

Ooo… I thoroughly enjoyed our Christmas party and obviously being part of the winning team.

I also enjoy going on our regular site visits and working as part of the team on pitches or project deadlines.

Q3. What motivates you to get the job done?

Honestly, I respond best to feedback and when I get positive feedback it motivates me to do more and better - a simple thank you goes a long way for me. At Avatar the management are constantly supporting you and wanting you to be the best you can be, therefore the motivation is there on a daily, hourly basis.

Q4. What do you enjoy most about working at Avatar?

I love the relaxed and homely environment we work in, arriving at the office every day with a view but most importantly it's the people I work with - we laugh a lot and pull together as a team and support system whenever someone needs it.

Q5. What is the most valuable thing you have learnt during the first 6 months?

Its hard to pick just one; the most valuable things I have learnt whilst being at Avatar are the importance of communication, whether that be with your colleagues or with your client, to have the ability to seek as much information as possible before starting any job and to sell, sell our value for money as a company with each and every piece that leaves the office.

Q6. How do you feel about the progression of Avatar?

The progression of Avatar since my first day has been exciting, seeing us hit monthly targets, bring on new team members and expand our client database creates a motivating and progressive work environment.

Since my first day, Avatar has introduced a new ‘on-boarding’ process which I have seen develop and become extremely effective. New members of the team or freelancers are able to turn up and hit the ground running without having the ask simple questions such as “how do I answer the phone”.

Q7. Describe Avatar in 3 words

Creative (obviously), Open and Exciting.
