Avatar goes pan-European |
Avatar has recently picked up a new client: a major pan-European Communications, IT Managed Services and Networking company!
Based in the City, Colt offers an information delivery platform that enables its customers to share, process and store their vital business information. Large organisations, midsize businesses and wholesale customers right across Europe all rely on Colt – and now Colt is relying on Avatar to help extend their branding across their full range of marketing collateral.
Colt was looking for a cost-effective out-of-London agency that could achieve this quickly and efficiently, and with our expertise in developing and extending the use of branding, Avatar was a perfect fit for the job.
We are currently helping to reformat all of the company’s existing literature to follow their new brand guidelines. Working with such clearly defined branding is a real pleasure, and we are looking forward to playing our part in building a truly international brand.

The value of a great profile photo |
The value of a great profile photo
Your profile photo is often the first stage of building a rapport with potential clients, associates and employers, especially with so many of us using social media as a tool for networking purposes. Your image should portray you as a confident professional within your area of expertise, therefore it is essential you get it right if you want to make the right first impression.
Avatar Creative have been working with John Cassidy Photography - creating and developing their new brand identity. John really knows his business, he's photographed thousands of people over the years - many of them well known celebrities and sports stars - David Beckham, Michael Schumacher, Sean Connery, Frankie Dettori and Boris Becker to name a few.
John comments, " Profile images (or hero shots) should be PPE, which stands for Professional, Personable and Engaging and not FFF (Fuzzy, Faraway and Forgetful). "It should capture your personality (not just a generic headshot) and it should draw the viewer in and make them want to find out more about you. It should also look like you - taken within the last 12 to 18 months. People who use old images are just kidding themselves and the people they connect with".
Remember your face is part of your brand!

Property e-marketing campaign |
Avatar Creative have assisted Millgate Homes in the launch of a new property development by producing a targeted html email campaign and online interactive brochure.
Millgate wanted to promote their show home launch for Chapel Pines - ten new stunning 5 bedroom luxury homes in Camberley, Surrey. This was achieved by using SAM 'Send And Monitor' - our simple-to-use email marketing tool, allowing Millgate's sales & marketing team to instantly measure the response, evaluate the effectiveness of the campaign and target sales calls accordingly. Turquoise is the colour for 2010 |
Pantone has announced Turquoise as its colour of the year for 2010.
Pantone’s vice-president of strategic business development Helmut Eifert says, ‘Turquoise occupies a very special position in the world of colour. It is believed to be a protective talisman, a colour of deep compassion and healing, and a colour of faith and truth, inspired by water and sky.
Clare Kiddell, Account Manager at Avatar Creative, says "Turquoise is universally appealing, it represents an escape to many people – taking them to a tropical paradise that is pleasant and inviting, even if only a fantasy".
Pantone's colour for 2009 was mimosa yellow, intended to carry a hopeful, optimistic message. For 2010 the public is shifting gears as the economy shows some improvement: They are ready to fantasise a bit about that tropical beach resort!
